A new edition of Anita Harris’ book, Broken Patterns, has been published by Cambridge Common Press. The book, tells stories of women in male-dominated professions–and places these groundbreaking women, along with their mothers and grandmothers, in historical context. But, Harris suggests, perhaps it is not the privileged who are likeliest to push for change or equality for others.
